You can’t do it if your heart’s not in it.

MIC CHECK. MIC CHECK. MyrVox here. And woaaah- DAY 3? Already?

It’s truly a cramming season for me. I did not expect to juggle so many things at once but I promise I will finish them all.

So what did I learn for Day 3?

Realization #1: You only have one voice; take care of it.

As aspiring voice artists, our voice is our career. It’s our instrument. We need to learn how to properly use it and take care of it.

I used to be someone who took it for granted but from now on, I will keep the following in mind:

#1: Drink 16 glasses of water each day.

#2: Avoid food and drinks that can harm your vocal cords.

#3: Make sure to have proper voice rest.

#4: Don't forget to warm up your voice before a voice work,

Realization #2: Burn bright amid the countless stars.

“Content is the fuel; social media is fire.”

Competition for attention is tough online. You need to study your niche, platform and content very well. There’s a lot of other factors to also take note of like the trends. To me who is always late to know such, it will definitely prove to be a challenge.

However, I have also long acknowledged that if I want to walk this path, it won’t be easy.

Realization #3: Voice for a purpose.

We can use our voice for almost anything but it wouldn’t mean that we’re doing something great for ourselves or anybody else. If we use our voices to hurt or harm, why use it in the first place? If we keep silent at times our voices are needed, why have a voice? The talk today really made me realize a lot of things.

Give your voice a purpose and your every word a meaning.

Once again, this is MyrVox, giving purpose to my voice.

P.S. The tongue twisters during the day were truly one of the highlights of today’s session. It was really fun!
